VSSL Voyager Brando Y. is over 90 days into his epic journey crossing Australia’s unforgiving outback by bicycle, completely self-supported and all for the right reasons. He’s riding to raise awareness for mental health and to empower others to be the best versions of themselves. (If you don’t know Brando or his journey to becoming a modern-day explorer, you should check out this interview we did with him earlier this year).
It’s been a huge week for Brando, he just finished crossing one of the biggest natural challenges on his trip so far, the Simpson desert. This thing is massive, it’s the largest sand dune desert on the planet and covers a mind-blowing 68,000 sq mi! Did we mention that Brando is doing this trip self-supported on a bicycle!
Only a few people have EVER done this. But what's most impressive, is that those who have, were driven to the edge of the desert dropped off and picked up on the other side. Brando RODE HIS BIKE 2500KM JUST TO GET THERE! And he'll ride another 2000 to finish.
If you need an injection of inspiration today, head over and read Brando’s blog on his journey across the Simpson and the surprise visit he got from his dad on the other side. Give him a follow on Instagram too while you’re at it.
If you're already following his journey, you might have noticed a sweet little VSSL First Aid kit at the front of his bike. Get yours here.
Keep rolling Brando!
